Wishing You a Happy Day

Hello Friends…
Welcome to back my Studio!

Today I am featuring another super sweet card that I created with my NEW Stamp Set called “Feathered Friends”, that I illustrated for Gina K Designs. It’s a very versatile, everyday kind of stamp set suitable for all year round. Take a look at the itemized list that I provided of what is included in “Feathered Friends” in my previous post, “Everything is Within You”

For this card, I wanted to create a Folk Art look. I wasn’t sure if I would like it at first, but I saw it in my head so I went with it. Gina K Designs has so many beautiful ink colors that they made it very easy to create this colorful card. I really like how this card turned out.

Stamping & Coloring…

I started off by stamping my little Rooster and my sentiment, from the “Friendly Wishes” stamp set, with Black Onyx Dye ink on marker paper. Then I colored my Rooster with Copic Markers (color chart below)

Creating a Half Wreath…

First, I die cut a stitched scallop panel with a piece of White Layering Weight card stock. Then I cut a piece of Kraft card stock to use a s a mat for my stitched panel.

To create my colorful folksy wreath, I stamped with a couple of different mini silhouette stamps sets on my stitched panel. I used “Dreams Come True” & “All At Once-All Occasion” and colored the stamps using a few ink cubes to isolate the flowers from the leaves (full supply list below)

Putting it All Together…

I cut a piece of white card stock for an A2 card base. I attached the piece of Kraft card stock to my base then popped up the stitched panel with foam adhesive. Then I popped up my little Rooster and my sentiment with foam adhesive as well to give my card some dimension.

To finish off my Folksy Rooster card, I added a few Black Pearls.
