Celebrate the Little Things

Welcome to back my Studio!
I’m back again with another example of how versatile my “Feathered Friends” Stamp Set by Gina K Designs can actually be. I love pairing up unlikely stamp sets to create new looks.
Today I paired up “Feathered Friends” with another NEW Stamp set by Gina K Designs called “Celebrate You”. It’s beautiful silhouette stamp set and the sentiments even work well with “Feathered Friends” as you can see.
Let’s Jump Right In…
I cut and scored a piece of White Artist Choice Heavy Weight card stock to make an A7 card base. On a separate piece of White Layering Weight card stock I cut a panel to 4 1/4″ x 7″ and stamped the images & sentiment from the “Celebrate You” stamp set on the left side of my panel. Border…
For my border, I stamped the little squares border from “Feathered Friends” with Red Hot Dye Ink. I designed the little squares stamp so you could make a continuous border. This card design is a perfect example.
Originally I wanted to stamp my border directly on my card base, but the perfectionist in me decided to stamp on a separate piece of card stock so I could trim it if necessary….it was necessary.
Then I attached my border strips on either side of the back of my stamped panel.
Little Chick…
I stamped my little Chick, dirt mound & Flower with Black Onyx Dye ink on marker paper. Then I colored my images with Copic Markers (color chart below)
Once my images were colored, I die cut a small stitched square and a black mat to fit behind it. I popped up my images with  foam adhesive on the little stitched squares and then popped up the square panel on my larger stamped panel. To finish off my card I added a few Gold Pearls.
