Some Days Will Be Prickly

Hello Friends… 
Welcome to back my Studio!

Today I’m featuring another super fun card I created using the “Hedgehogs in Happiness” stamp set I illustrated for  Gina K Designs.

The sentiment, “Some Days will be Prickly But Many More Days Will Be Curled in Happiness” used on my 5×7 card holds true for most of us, doesn’t it? Hence the Happiness!

Card Base…

For My card base, I cut and scored a piece of White Card Stock to an A7 card. I die cut a piece of “Kraft” card stock to serve as a mat for my “Lattice” Embossed piece of “Barely There” Card Stock

Background…

For my background I embossed a very pretty Floral Pattern Design by  Gina K Designs and using the coordinating stencil, I ink blended with soft coordinating colors (full supply list below)

Using the same Die set, I cut a stitched panel from White Card Stock.

Stamping & Coloring…

I stamped my Hedgehog, little Snail & my Sentiment with Black Onyx Dye Ink. Then I die cut my images and colored them with Copic Markers (color chart below)

Putting It All Together…

I attached my Kraft mat and Embossed panel to my 5×7 card base. My embossed Blossom panel was popped up on the Lattice panel with foam adhesive and then I placed the smaller white stitched panel over the embossed panel. I added my images and sentiment, with foam adhesive, to the small white panel and added a light watercolor wash to make my image stand out and tie my colors together.
