A Good Friend

Hello Friends…
Welcome back to my Studio! I’m so glad you joined me today!

Today I am sharing a super cute mini slimline card that I created for Craft Roulette (episode #173).

Ink n’ Splatter is one of the Spin Sponsors for the month of July! Just one more week for a chance to WIN an Ink n’ Splatter Giveaway through Craft Roulette

If you have never seen Craft Roulette, you must check it out! You will be amazed how inspiring it is to create using specific parameters!

I am always inspired by the parameters of each episode! Often I would not even think of putting some of the parameters selected together….I love a good card designing challenge so once again I decided to jump in and create my 5th card! Here are the parameters for Episode #173

PARAMETERS…

  • The “Project” Parameter called for a “Window” Card
  • The “Colors” Parameter called for “Bird”
  • The “Elements” Parameter called for “By the Pond”
  • The “Random” Parameter called for a “Paper Clip”

Pond Life…

As soon as I saw the Element Parameter “By the Pond” I knew it was time to pull out my adorable Pond Life Stamp Set by Ink n’ Splatter. It’s a fairly big set with turtles, frogs, little ducks and other pond elements for lots of possibilities. It can be used for so many adorable projects!

Card Base…

I created a mini slimline using Kraft card stock and then die cut a few stitched panels and layered them. I die cut a “Window” in the center of my top panel and ink blended a little pond to go below the window.

The Pattern paper is from Ink n’ Splatter “Summer Breeze” Pattern Paper Pad

I stamped and colored all my elements and then position them “By the Pond” with double sided adhesive to give my card a little dimension.

Life is Better with a Good Friend…

I stamped my sentiment, Life is Better with a Good Friend, with a coordinating color ink and die cut it with a stitched banner die. I attached it on an angle with from adhesive and added my little bug atop.

All that was left to add was a “Paper Clip”…hmmm…so I had a ton of thoughts but not too much time to test them out, so I decided to used a cute little pink “Paper Clip” as an embellishment for my sentiment and added a cute little coordinating flower in keeping with my attempt at using “Bird” of Paradise colors.

And so my card was finished…that was fun!

I hope I have inspired you to simply create something Fabulously Fun & Heart-Warming to bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.

I hope you get a chance to view the Craft Roulette Live on YouTube most Friday evenings for a great way to unwind, laugh a little and craft alongside some fabulously “FUNN” people!

Be sure to leave a comment, if you have enjoyed this project.
