A Mix of Whimsy With A Touch Elegance

Valentine’s Day is almost here! I love making sweet, endearing, and whimsical cards for this special occasion.

For today’s Valentine Card, I’ve paired a mix of whimsy with a touch of elegance featuring my new “Moose Tracks” Stamp Set by Gina K Designs along with the coordinating Die Set (now sold separately)

I couldn’t resist pairing my “Moose Tracks” Stamp & Die Set with the NEW beautiful Heart Frame Die Set from the NEW “Cheerful Garden” February Kit for a sweet & elegant Valentine Card.

Stamping & Coloring…

I first stamp my Owl on marker paper using Black Onyx Premium Dye Ink and colored it with Alcohol Markers (color chart below) I stamped the branches with Green & Brown ink and die cut all my images with the coordinating Dies

My sentiment is from the NEW Love Notes Stamp Set. I stamped it with Black Onyx Premium Dye Ink and die cut it with the coordinating die set.

Background…

My die cut my background panels is was crated using the Heart Frame Die Set from the NEW “Cheerful Garden” February Kit. The back panel was die cut from White Layering Weight Card Stock and the delicate Heart Frame from Cherry Red Card Stock.

Scattered Hearts…

I ink blended a piece of Cherry Red Card Stock with Cherry Red Dye Ink using the Scattered Hearts Stencil and cut it approximately 1″ x 4″ to fit the left side of my book binding card.

Putting it All Together…

I cut and scored a piece of Black Onyx Heavyweight Card Stock to create an A2 card. I scored it on the left side to create a book binding card. Then I attached a White Card Stock panel that I die cut using the outer die from the Heart Frame set to my card base and another white panel to the left side of my base leaving a slight border.

The ink blended heart panel and the beautiful Heart frame was attached over top. Then I added my images and sentiment with foam adhesive to my card and finished it off with some Black Pearls for a little extra bling.

With that, my Whimsical & Elegant Valentine Card was finished.
