An Adorable Postage Style Critter Card

Hello Friends…
Welcome to back my Studio!

Last night was Gina K Designs February Release Party! If you missed it, you can catch it on the replay on their YT Channel

As I mentioned in my previous post, I had the pleasure of illustrating another lovable stamp set, called “Heads Up Little Critters” for the party and revealed several of my samples.

Today I am sharing one of my samples featuring my “Heads Up Little Critters” and coordinating Die Set (now sold separately). In this post, I will be breaking down my process for you. I also have a full supply list and Copic color chart listed below.

For this adorable Postage card I die cut a piece of White Layering Weight Card Stock using the ML 14 and masked off the border and center perforations using Masking Magic Strips. I also die cut a “Fresh Asparagus” card stock mat for my postage panel using Master Layouts 3

Ink Smooshed Background…

Once my postage panel was masked off, I smeared Blue Lagoon Dye Ink on my glass mat and spritzed it with water. Then I took my pouncer tool and placed a piece of plastic over the sponge and secured it with a rubber band. this is now my “smooshing tool”.

I dabbed my smooshing tool in the ink on my glass mat and smooshed the color around my postage panel. I also die cut a small square panel and mat panel using ML 3 and smooshed it was well.

Once my postage panel was dry, I stamped it with “Kindness Silhouettes Mini” Stamp Set in “Lovely Lavender” Dye Ink then I removed my masking tape.

LOVE…

For my center square I die cut a couple of big letters from the “Large Alphabet” Die Set to form the word LOVE and then I glued them together to create some dimension and placed them on the small center square.

Stamping & Coloring…

I stamped my images on marker paper using Black Onyx Premium Dye Ink and color them with Copic Alcohol Markers

I also stamped and die cut my sentiment from the “Heads Up Little Critters” Stamp Set with Black Onyx Dye Ink

Then I arranged the little mouse, paws and tail over the right corner of my center square

Putting it All Together…

I cut and scored a piece of White Layering Weight Card Stock to create an A2 tent fold card. Then I attached my postage panels to my card base and my small square panel with my little mouse peeking over top with foam adhesive. I also added my sentiment with foam adhesive to my card and finished it off with some Silver Pearls for a little extra added bling.

With that, my Postage Style Critter Card was finished.

hope I have inspired you today to create something Fabulously Fun & Heart-Warming. Your creations will bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.
