Better with Ice Cream

Hello Friends…
Welcome back to my Studio!

Today, I am sharing a super sweet card that I created while I was doodling.

Party Time Bears…

I decided this little Party Time Bear would make the perfect subject for my simple doodle background.

As I was coloring this little cutie, I pictured her romping in a field of flowers enjoying her ice cream and playing with her bright pink balloon!

Let’s Get to It…

I stamped my image on marker paper and colored it with Copic Markers. Then I cut it out using the coordinating die and set it aside to work on my background.

BACKGROUND…

For my background, I pulled out my watercolors and began laying a light wash on a piece of white card stock. I added some delicate simple blossoms and hinted to a meadow by stippling coordinating Copic colors. I also indicated a few large and small balloons floating through the sky for a dreamy effect.

Life is Better…

I stamped my sentiment with a coordinating ink color and die cut it using a stitched banner die.

CARD BASE…

For my background, I folded and cut a piece of white card stock to an A2 size. I cut a smaller panel from white card stock to serve some stability for my background. Then I die cut a stitched scallop rectangle to Fram my background doodles. I dotted each scallop with a coordinating color.

Putting it all Together…

I attached my white panel to my card bas with double sided adhesive. Then I attached my doodle background painting to that panel with double sided adhesive to give it lots of dimension. I placed my scalloped frame over my background, again using double sided adhesive.

Then I added my cute little happy go lucky bear to the center of my background with more from adhesive and placed my sentiment on an angle in the upper right hand corner. added a little confetti and my card was finished.

I hope I have inspired you to simply create something Fabulously Fun & Heart-Warming to bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.
