Today I’m sharing a super fun Handmade Puppy Preserves Celebration Greeting Card

Celebrate…

For this cutie, I’m working with several Stamps Sets from  Ink n’ Splatter as well as a couple of Pattern Paper Pads to create this lovable, and mischievous, card inspired by Craft Roulette.

Challenge Parameters…

Craft Roulette is a super fun card making challenge show on Youtube almost every Friday night. I love this show because it stretches and twists the imagination. I can honestly say I don’t think I would dhave ever created this adorable card in the was if it weren’t for these challenge parameters.

Summertime Pups…

As soon as I saw the parameters for this challenge, I instantly knew the stamp sets I wanted to use and how I would use them to create my card.

Using the “Summertime Pups” Stamp Set, I stamped the little mischievous puppy on marker paper and colored my image with Copic Markers (color chart below)/ I also used the coordinating die to cut my pup out.

Strawberry Field Mice…

The Jar of Preserves and the Jellied Toast was stamped from the “Strawberry Field Mice” Stamp Set and cut with the coordinating die set. They were also stamped on marker paper and colored with Copic Markers.

Celebrate…

I stamped the sentiment “Celebrate”, in a coordinating ink, using the “Cupcake Kitties” Stamp Set and cut it out using the coordinating die set.

Card Base & Background…

I cut and A2 tent fold card using white card stock and cut another white panel using a double stitched die cut.

With my little pup full of preserves, I thought it would be fun to create a background making a messy preserves blow out. So, I sprinkled some watercolor powder on my white card stock panel and spritzed it with water. I love this techniques because the results are different every time making each card a one of a kind.

Extras…

I added two vertical strips cut from the “Farm Fresh” & “Ladybug Days” Pattern PaPer Pads.

I also used the “Ladybug Days” Pattern Paper to die cut a few leaves that I placed behind the preserves.

To finish off my card I glossed up the preserves on the Toast and the Jar of Preserves. I also added some coordinating Baker’s Twine, and a few black enamel dots just for fun!
