Today I am featuring another sample card that I created with my NEW Stamp Set called “Feathered Friends”, that I illustrated for Gina K Designs. If you’re not into cute chicks, but love gardening, here’s another option to create with “Feathered Friends”,

See-Thru…
Today, I created a “see-thru” card to showcase my wagon full of fruits & vegetables. First, I cut a piece of Kraft card stock to approximately 5″x11″ and scored it at 5 1/2″. Then I die cut a pretty design from the cover plate in Master Layouts 20 and cut an opening, approximately 1 1/4″ on top & 1″ on the bottom for my see thru panel.
I al so die cut another open design from Kraft Card Stock and attached it to the back of the white open design to make it strong enough to stand up.
Stamping & Coloring…
I stamped my image and sentiment from my new “Feathered Friends” with Black Onyx Dye Ink on marker paper and colored my image with Copic Markers (Copic Color Chart below)
Then I popped up my little wagon full of fruits & vegetables to a lace oval from Master Layouts 1 with foam adhesive and added a hint of color behind my image to make it pop.
Border Design…
Gina K Designs has really cool grip mats. One side is smooth and sticky and the other side has two pattern design. It’s fabulous! So I stamped with the hatch design on Grip Mat 1 to create a border on top & bottom of my card with Butterscotch Ink to tie my design all together. Then I added a black mat that I cut to size from Black Onyx Card Stock to fit behind the border strips to make them stand out.
With my card base assembled, I placed my image on the lower middle just over the bottom border to reveal much of the open design. Then I placed my Sentiment over the top border with foam adhesive and added a few Black Pearls to finish it off.
