It’s Party Time

Hello Crafty Friends…
Welcome back to my Studio!

Ink n’ Splatter has a New Release this month called “Sweet Celebrations”

There are so many opportunities to celebrate all year round so we hope you will find this Collection as much fun as we do! There are four separate stamps sets, coordinating dies (sold separately), and 2 New Pattern Paper Pads for this super cute release.

I thought it would be fun to create a Double Z-Fold card for this project so I could feature many of the fun patterns in the  “Sweet Celebrations” Paper Pad.

Today, I’m working with the “Party Time Bears” Stamp Set and the  Coordinating Die Set (sold separately)

and, as previously mentioned, the  “Sweet Celebrations” Pattern Paper

LET’S COLOR…

I stamped my happy little Milkshake Bear image on marker paper and colored it with Copic Markers. Then I cut it out using the coordinating die and set it aside to work on building my Z-Fold Card.

There are many variations of a Z-Fold card. My double Z-Fold card has 2 base strips containing 6 panels to decorate…or not! I opted to decorate 5 panels.

Card Measurements….

The larger base strip measures 4.25″ x 11″ and is scored on the long side at 2.75″ and 5.5″. The smaller top base strip measures 3.25″ x 9″ and scored on the long side at 3″ and 6″.

Now we have our 6 panels…I cut slightly smaller panels of white cardstock first and attached them to the 5 panels that would be most visible. Then I chose patterns from the  “Sweet Celebrations” Paper Pad that would compliment my image and coordinate well together and cut them a little smaller than the white cardstock and attached them to those panels.

Putting it all Together…

It may look intimidating, but it’s really a simple design that takes a little more steps and preparation than a single panel card…and it’s is super fun to see it come together, not to mention how happy the recipient will be!

I die cut a cute pierced eyelet circle for the base of my image which I attached with adhesive foam and then lightly added some color with watercolors to make my image pop.

I also stamped my inside sentiment, and masked the milkshake image to only stamp part of the glass, on a small stitched white cardstock panel and then blended more color around the edges.

Then I stamped my larger sentiments with coordinating colors on white cardstock and cut them out with the coordinating dies . I place “Party Time” on the front of my card and “Celebrate” on the inside of the card with foam adhesive to add dimension to my card.

Finishing Touches…

Ok so if you are still with me, thank you! To finish my card, I added several coordinating enamel dots, some natural twine, and a little shimmer… I mean what else what I use for a “Party Time” card?!

I hope I have inspired you to simply create something Fabulously Fun & Heart-Warming to bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.
