Little Ladybugs Birthday Card

Hello Friends…
Welcome back to my Studio! I’m so glad you made it!

Today I am sharing a super fun “Birthday” card that I created for Craft Roulette (episode #170)

It’s my second time jumping in and taking the Spin Challenge! I’ve said it before, and I will say it again…if you have never seen Craft Roulette, you must!

It’s such a fun way to challenge your creativity

Parameters…

Two for this he 4 parameters for this episode is…

  • Project: Birthday Card
  • Colors: Picnic
  • Elements: Collection
  • Random: Black Dots

Check Check Check and Check again…

So for this Spin Challenge I created a “Birthday Card” using Ink n’ Splatter “Little Ladybugs” Stamp Set and coordinating Die Set

I also used Ink n’ Splatter “Ladybug Days” Pattern Paper

LET’S COLOR…

I stamped my images on marker paper and colored them with Copic Markers. Then I cut them out using the coordinating die set and set them aside to work on my other card elements.

Card Base…

For my card base, I folded and cut a piece of white card stock to an A2 size.

Then I cut a piece of the Ladybug Days Pattern Paper slightly smaller to leave a whit border around my card.

I then cut a piece of black textured card stock and embossed it with a super cute wild flower embossing folder to give my card some texture.

I also die cut another piece of the Ladybug Days Pattern Paper to appear as my grassy area, and used the same pattern paper to die cut some leaves for my flowers and an accent banner for my sentiment to tie everything in together.

Can you tell I’m having a little fun with this one?!

Happy Birthday…

For my “Happy Birthday” I stamped my Sentiment using Ink n’ Splatter’s “Birthday Kitties” Stamp Set and a coordinating ink on white card stock.

Then I cut my sentiment out using the same stitched banner die I used for the pattern paper.

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER…

Once I had all my elements, and my card base assembled, I attached the grassy pattern paper on the bottom of my black embossed panel. Then I attached my cute “Little Ladybugs” to the top right of my card and the lower left just under my grassy panel with adhesive foam give my card lost of dimension.

I attached the two sentiment banners together twisting the pattern paper banner just a little to give my sentiment some interest.

Finishing Touches…

Because I always feel the need to decorate my cards just a little more, I added my “Collection” items, which are Paper Flowers…yes I have scads of paper flowers! Luckily, I have lots to choose from and found some cute little ones that fir my Picnic Theme colors.

I added a few black enamel dots just for fun and my card was finished! Well that was fun! I hope you get a chance to view the Craft Roulette Live on YouTube most Friday evenings for a great way to unwind, laugh a little and craft alongside some fabulously “FUNN” people!

I hope I have inspired you to simply create something Fabulously Fun & Heart-Warming to bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.

Be sure to leave a comment, if you have enjoyed this project.
