Live in the Moment

Hello Friends…

Welcome to back my Studio!

I am excited to share another super cute card I created using Ink n’ Splatter Stamps for another Craft Roulette Challenge. This one is for Episode #227

Sporty SUMMER PUPS…

Today I am featuring the adorable Ink n’ Splatter “Sporty Summer Pups” & “O-Fish-ally Fin-tastic” Stamp Set to meet the Parameters for this episode.

  • Project: 4″x8″
  • Colors: Mountains
  • Element: Floating/Float
  • Random: Water

Ink n’ Splatter‘s  “Sporty Summer Pups” is a super cute stamp set can be used all year round and the “O-Fish-ally Fin-tastic” a fun stamp set that can be used on it’s own, or used as a mash-up like I did to create this card… I think they are a great choices for these parameters.

Stamping & Coloring…

I stamped all my images for this card on marker paper with black dye ink and colored them with Copic Markers (Copic color chart below). Then I cut them out using the “O-Fish-ally Fin-tastic” coordinating die set & the  “Sporty Summer Pups” coordinating die set.

Ink Blending…

Then ink blended my background using distress oxide inks on a blue card stock to create this adorable underwater scene. Once my panel was ink blended I splattered it with water droplets to create the look of bubbles. Because I used distress oxide inks, the water droplets oxidized the ink immediately giving a milky or lighter appearance which was a perfect effect for creating the illusion of bubbles.

Then I stamped a few sea plants in coordinating colors to create an underwater scene and splattered some white opaque ink on my background to further create bubbles and add some interest. Then I die cut a few sandy hills from Kraft card stock and ink blended the edges.

At this point, I was pleased with my ink blended panel but I felt like it needed something more so I took a chance, a big chance, and die cut a stitched panel out of my background…this could have gone very wrong, but I was lucky and it actually came out exactly as I had hoped.

I cut a coordinating purple panel from card stock, and placed it under my stitched panel to give it some distinction from my background panel. Then I attached it using some foam adhesive to give it some dimension.

I attached my ink blended background panel to the base of my card and then added the center panels and arranged my images to create this adorable scene.

Finishing Touches…

For the final touches I added a few clear enamel dots in varying sizes to create bubbles coming from my pup’s scuba gear and then I added a few shimmering sea shells to the bottom of my card. I topped it off with a cute sentiment from the  “Sporty Summer Pups” stamp set.

And with that, my card was finished…

DOUBLE CHECK…
So have I met all the parameters? 4″x8″ card – YES, Mountain Colors – YES, Floating Element -YES, Water- YES!
That was fun! My full supply list and color combos are listed below. (please see my disclosure statement at the bottom of my page)

hope I have inspired you today to create something Fabulously Fun & Heart-Warming. Your creations will bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.
