Thinking of You Koala Style

Today I’m sharing another CAS Friendship Greeting Card.

We can all use a loving note from time to time, don’t you think?

This card was inspired by a Craft Roulette Challenge from Episode #204

The Challenge Parameters:

Project: Thinking of you
Colors: Fairy Tale Colors
Element: Hears/Ears
Random: Background Stamp

I began by stamping my little Koala using a very light brown tone ink color on marker paper. But you can use any pale color ink for this coloring technique depending on your subject.

I colored my image using alcohol markers and cut it out using the coordinating die.

I stamped my background using a light lilac ink and a beautiful background stamp. Then cut my panels out and attached them to coordinating colored card stock.

I die cut a few panels from my colored card stock and white card stock, and then I added a light color wash with watercolors to the top white panel to make my Koala pop, and then attached my image with foam adhesive to give my card a little dimension.

I added my sentiment from the “Purely Koala-fied” Stamp Set and die cut it with a stitched fishtail sentiment strip. Then I added a few clear embellishments and my card was done…I’m loving the CAS style cards these days…they are easy, fun, but always challenging for me!
