Simply Happiness
Hello Friends…
Welcome back to my Studio! I’m so glad you joined me today!
SPORTY SUMMER PUPS…
Today I’m back to share this super cute Easel summer card with my HAPPY Floating Pup.
Again, I couldn’t resist using one of Ink n’ Splatter’s NEW SIZZLING SUMMER Release Stamp Sets.
I created this card using the “Sporty Summer Pups” Stamp Set and …
LET’S CREATE…
I stamped my little pup, and a couple of accessories, on marker paper and colored it with Copic Markers. Then I cut my image out using the coordinating die set and moved it aside to work on my easel card base.
Easel Card Base…
To create my easel card I cut a piece of white card stock at 4.5″ x 9″ and scored it in half at 4.5″ Then I cut another piece of white card stock approximately 4.5″ x 5″. I scored the top at .5″ and clipped the corners slightly at a slant to create a flap. This will be the front of my card.
I die cut my front panel and another piece for the back, with a circle die to create my window. Then just for cuteness, I die cut a stitched scallop circle.
Sunshine & Happiness…
I created a Sunshine & Happiness scene using Ink n’ Splatter’s “Bright Sun Rays” Stencil & the “Wavy Stripes” Stencil and distressed oxide inks.
I also die cut a couple stitched waves to place in behind the front panel to add to may card dimension.
Playing with Patterns…
I cut two coordinating pattern panels approximately 4.25″ x 4.25″, one for the cover panel and another for the bottom panel.
Putting it all Together…
I assembled my cover panel by attaching my pattern paper that I die cut with the circle die and placed the scallop circle on the cover to give. finished look. Then I attached my Pup image with very thin fishing line and placed the extra white die cut panel on the back to secure the fishing line and give it stability.
I also added the stitched waves to the back of the cover panel and then attached the cover flap to the back edge of the folded panel.
I attached my blended Sunshine & Happiness panel to the back of the folded panel and the other pattern paper to the bottom.
Simply Happiness…
For my sentiment, I stamped “Sometimes It’s the Simple Things that Bring the Most Happiness” from the “Sporty Summer Pups” Stamp Set and die cut it with a stitched banner die.
Then I attached it to the cute little beach towel from the “Summertime Pups” Stamp Set. I attached both with adhesive foam to the bottom panel to serve as the stopper for the front cover.
A Few Extras…
I attached a super cute cocktail to the lower left front cover and few coordinating enamel dots just for fun!
I hope I have inspired you to simply create something Fabulously Fun & Heart-Warming to bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.
