Deck The Halls With Lots of Joy

Today I am sharing another sample featuring my new “Merry Little Penguins” and coordinating die set.

Stamping & Coloring…

I first stamped my image on marker paper with Black Dye Ink & Die cut it using the coordinating die set. Then I colored it with Copic Alcohol Markers (color chart below)

Background & Base…

For my base, I cut and scored a piece of Fresh Asparagus Card Stock to an A2 tent fold card. Then, using ML2, I die cut a piece of 2 pieces of white card stock, 1 smaller stitched and 1 large mat. I die cut another smaller mat from the Fresh Asparagus Card Stock. For my textured background panel, I die cut a piece of Cherry Red Heavy Weight Card Stock embossed it with the Snowflakes Embossing Folder, then I swiped over the snowflakes with White Pigment Ink.

Putting it All Together…

I attached the larger white mat and embossed Cherry Red panel to my Fresh Asparagus card base. The I attached the smaller stitched white panel to the smaller Fresh Asparagus panel and attached it to the embossed panel using foam adhesive. I let my image overhang the smaller panels and attached it with foam adhesive for some dimension.

I finished off my card with a few Gold Pearls and a Sentiment from “Merry Little Penguins”
