A Peaceful Heart

Hello Friends…
Welcome to back my Studio!

Kitten Lovers…

Who can resist a little kitten? Are you a kitten lover? Well, if you are, then these little, lovable, furries will definitely make you smile! But if you’re not, then these kittens will surely make your kitten-loving family and/or friends smile. So, let’s make a card…

Today I am sharing another super sweet card that I created using my NEW  “Treasured Kittens”  stamp set for Gina K Designs.

If you haven’t seen it yet, the “Treasured Kittens”  stamp set includes 4 adorable, huggable kitten stamps, 2 little fluttering butterflies, 2 butterfly silhouettes, a little grass silhouette, and 3 beautiful sentiments that can be used all year long, alone or with any other products by Gina K Designs… not to mention, you can mix and match them with several  other stamp sets that I designed for Gina K Designs.

Stamping & Coloring…

I stamped my Sentiment, Kitten & Butterflies on marker paper with Black Onyx Premium Dye Ink using my Misti and my new Grip Mat by Gina K Designs.

I colored my images with Copic Alcohol Markers on marker paper for a smooth and easy blend.

Scene Building…

Once my images were colored, I die cut several windows from Master Layouts 17 (full supply list and color chart below) and stacked them to give dimension.

For my scene behind the window, I ink blended a piece of white card stock using the Sea Sun & Sky Stencil. Then, I die cut a couple of whimsical flowers from white card stock to add a little movement to my blended scene.

Card Base & Background…

For my card base, I cut and folded a piece of Layering White Card Stock into and A2 card. I used Master Layouts 2 to die cut a piece of Butterscotch Heavy Weight Card Stock as a mat for my background.

To add some interest to my card, I embossed a piece of white card stock using a beautiful Tapestry design.

Putting It All Together…

Once all my images were colored and my elements completed, I began to assemble my card. I attached the Tapestry embossed panel to the Butterscotch card stock and then attached it to my card base.

Next I added my window scene to the Tapestry panel and then attached my Kitten, Butterfly & Sentiment. I finished my card by adding a few gold gems for a final touch.
