Have a Sunshiny Day

Hello Friends…
Welcome back to my Studio! I’m so glad you joined me today!

Yes it’s finally FALL …my favorite color as they say! But sometimes I can’t escape my love for a bright sunny summer card!

I created this cheerful card from the inspiration of the Episode #182 of Craft Roulette Live

The Parameters for this Episode are:

  • Project: Card with Circles
  • Element: Screen
  • Colors: Vegetable Garden
  • Random: Fuzz

Summer Pups…

For this card I used the Ink n’ Splatter’s “Summertime Pups” Stamp Set and “Watermelon Lemonade” Pattern Paper

Card Base…

I cut a strip of white card stock to 4.25″ x 9.25″ and scored it in half to create a top fold A2 size card. I chose one of the pattern papers to fit the “vegetable garden” parameters and cut it to fit my cover leaving a small white border and attached it with foam adhesive.

Summertime Pups…

I stamped these little furry adorbs with hybrid ink and colored them up with Copic markers (color guide below) and die cut them out with the coordinating die set.

DIe Cuts…

I die cut a stitched sentiment banner, a couple of delicate “screens”, a lacy “circle”, and a few cute little grassies, from white card stock.  Some of which were a little to white so I ink blended them with a few coordinating colors.

Putting all together…

I angled my screen die cuts under the lacy circle die cut and glued them to the pattern paper base. Then I attached the pups with foam adhesive to give my card some dimension. I added the sentiment strip above the pups and layered the blended grassies below, and over, the pups.

Final TOuch…

I added a few cute fuzzy tiny pom poms to the upper and lower corners of my card and another to the center of girl pup’s bow just for fun!

And with that, my cheerful card was finished!

hope I have inspired you to simply create something Fabulously Fun & Heart-Warming to bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.

I also hope you get a chance to view the Craft Roulette Live on YouTube most Friday evenings for a great way to unwind, laugh a little and craft alongside some fabulously “FUNN” people!
