I Wooly Love Ewe

Hello Friends…
Welcome back to my Studio! I’m so glad you are here today!

Today I am sharing a super fun “2 Fold” card that I created for Craft Roulette (episode #171).

We are excited to announce that Ink n’ Splatter is a Spin Sponsor for the month of July!

If you have never seen Craft Roulette, you must!

It’s a super fun way to challenge your creativity. They spin a wheel to choose 4 parameters from different categories and then the Host, Mary Gunn Funn, and her special guest creative a card live on YT. Everyone else is welcome to participate and has 48 hrs to submit their card.

I am always inspired by the parameters of each episode because often I would not even thin of putting some of them together….I love a good card designing challenge so once again I decided to jump in and create a card!

PARAMETERS…

  • The “Project” Parameter called for a “2 Folds” Card
  • The “Colors” Parameter called for a “Planter” Palette
  • The “Elements” Parameter called for “Happy Face”
  • The “Random” Parameter called for a “An Old Product”

Wooly Lambs…

As soon as I saw one of the Parameters was “Happy Face”, I couldn’t resist using my super cute and very happy, Wooly Lambs Stamp Set …and the rest just kind of fell into place!

Two Folds…

Creating a card fold is a lot of fun! Some can be very simple, while others can also be a little more time consuming…like this one.

I decided on an Accordion Fun Fold with a center flap for my Happy images with an inside sentiment.

My card base measures 4.5″ x 11″ and I scored both ends at 1.25″, 1.75″ and 2.75″

My outer panels measured approximately 1.25″ x 4.5″ and .75″ x 4.5″ and .5″ x 4.5″

As a personal preference, I opted to leave some space around my panels to keep my color palette fluid, so my actual panels are smaller than the ones indicated.

Oh Happy Day…

In keeping with the “Happy” Parameters, and choosing a “Planter” Color Palette, I decide to use Ink n’ Splatter’s “Oh Happy Day” Pattern Paper for my card project.

Center Flap…

For my Center Flap, I cut a piece of white card stock approximately 1.5″ x 8.5″ and folded it in half.

Then I embossed another piece of white card stock, following another Parameter, with “an old product”

Circles…

For the top of my flap, I die cut another piece of Kraft Card Stock using a stitched scallop circle approximately 2.75″ and a piece of white card stock using another stitched circle approximately 2.5″ that I also embossed.

Under the Flap…

My Center Flap lifts up to reveal another “Happy Face” and cute sentiment to make this darling little card just a joy!

Putting it all Together…

Really once the card is folded and all my strips were cut, there wasn’t much to putting it all together. I first attached all my panels and then used adhesive foam to attach my images and center circle.

I didn’t even add any extras…the beautiful pattern paper was really all my card needed and with that, my card was finished!

I hope I have inspired you to simply create something Fabulously Fun & Heart-Warming to bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.

I hope you get a chance to view the Craft Roulette Live on YouTube most Friday evenings for a great way to unwind, laugh a little and craft alongside some fabulously “FUNN” people!

Be sure to leave a comment, if you have enjoyed this project.
