Let’s Ride this Wave Together

Today I am sharing a super fun “Z Fold” card that I created for Craft Roulette (episode #172).

In case you didn’t know, Ink n’ Splatter is a Spin Sponsor for the whole month of July!

If you have never seen Craft Roulette, please check it out! You will be amazed how inspiring it is to create using specific parameters!

I am always inspired by the parameters of each episode because often I would not even thin of putting some of them together….I love a good card designing challenge so once again I decided to jump in and create a card!

PARAMETERS…

  • The “Project” Parameter called for a “Z Fold” Card
  • The “Colors” Parameter called for a “Any Colors”
  • The “Elements” Parameter called for “Old”
  • The “Random” Parameter called for a “Something form my MESK (messy desk)”

Seas Every Moment…

Some of the Parameters for this challenge stumped me at first. My final card took a completely different turn than originally planned, but that’s part of the fun of creating, isn’t it?!

I decided on using Ink n’ Splatter’s “Seas Every Moment” Stamp Set and “Summer Breeze” Pattern Paper

Z Fold…

There are many variations of Z Folds, but my Z Fold is a very easy and basic one.

Measurements…

I cut and folded a piece of white card stock to an A2 size. Then I scored my front panel at approximately 2″ and folded it back to the left.

Simple! Z Fold created…now to decorate!

Coloring…

I stamped my images on bright white marker paper and then colored them with Copic markers. I die cut them out with the coordinating die set

then I set them aside to created the rest of my card.

OLD…

I needed an “old” element so I decided to distress my pattern paper to make it look old.

I love how the distressed paper tuned out! How about you?

Bubbles…

To give my card some extra interest I die cut several big bubbles from white card stock and stacked them to give them stability. I then attached my images to the bubbles on the front flap for easy opening.

Let’s Ride this Wave Together…

I stamped my sentiment on piece of white card stock, from the “Seas Every Moment” Stamp Set, and die cut it with a stitched banner die and placed it inside my card.

Something from my “MESK”…

This was an easy Parameter for me because I always have something on my desk that I used from another project…I’m sure you can relate!

My MESK objects are the super cute clear enamel bubbles that I added in several places on the front and inside of my card…and my card was finished!

hope I have inspired you to simply create something Fabulously Fun & Heart-Warming to bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.

I hope you get a chance to view the Craft Roulette Live on YouTube most Friday evenings for a great way to unwind, laugh a little and craft alongside some fabulously “FUNN” people!

Be sure to leave a comment, if you have enjoyed this project.
