Shaking in a Cool New Year

Today I am sharing a super fun, Winter Shaker Card. I didn’t have a chance to post this one over the Holidays…but, I’m sure you can relate!
Winter Holiday Penguins…
I created this shaker card using Ink n’ Splatter “Winter Holiday Penguins” Stamp Set and coordinating Die Set.
This stamp set is a lot of fun because it’s versatile enough to be used not only on the Winter Holidays, but all winter long as well! This stamp set includes 6 lovable penguins, coordinating elements, and 5 sentiments.
So, as you can imagine, there are lots of possibilities with these cuties!
You can even “pair” them up with Ink n’ Splatter‘s “Sporty Winter Penguins” Clear Stamp set
Coloring…
I chose the little Penguin duo for my shaker card and stamped my penguin image on white marker paper with black hybrid ink and colored them with Copic Markers (full supply list below)
Then I die cut my penguins and set them aside!
Building My Shaker Base…
I die cut a piece of Ink n’ Splatter Twinkle Berry Winter Paper using a scalloped edge rectangle and the die cut a heart shape in the upper left corner for the window of my shaker.
I glued the coordinating heart shaped window in place and filled it with lots of sparkle & sequins.
I cut and folded a Piece of White Cardstock for my card base and attached the Twinkle Berry Winter Paper and the shaker window to my card base.
A Very Cool New Year…
What are a couple of lovable penguins without a little snow?!
I stamped the sentiment from the “Winter Holiday Penguins” Stamp Set on a piece of White Cardstock with black hybrid ink.
I die cut a couple of snow drifts, one with the sentiment, and placed them on the lower part of my pattern paper with double-sided adhesive and added my penguins, also with double-sided adhesive to give my card some dimension.
A Few Extras….
For a few extras and the finishing touches, I die cut a Snowflake from Twinkle Berry Winter Paper, added a few coordinating enamel dots, and my card was finished.
