Where Creativity Meets Cuteness: A Bear Making Handmade Cards

Today I am sharing one of my sample cards that I featured in my previous post. I wanted to show you another color variation for this adorable bear from my newly illustrated “Pawsitively Crafty” Stamp Set!

Card Base…

For this A2 inspiration sample I cut and scored a piece of White Card Stock . I used Master Layouts 8 to die cut the image grounding circles in white & Bubblegum Pink card stock. Then I used Master Layouts 13 to die cut a stitched white rectangle panel from White Card Stock and the mat from Bubblegum Pink Card Stock.

On the white stitched rectangle panel, I ink blended the Contemporary Floral Stencil using Jelly Bean Green and Bubblegum Pink Dye Ink. I also stamped some dots with Bubblegum Pink Dye ink using a stamp from “Seasonal Patterns & Phrases”

Stamping & Coloring…

I stamped my images on marker paper using Black Onyx Premium Dye Ink and color them with Copic Alcohol Markers

I also stamped and die cut my sentiment from the “Pawsitively Crafty” Stamp Set with Black Onyx Dye Ink

Putting it All Together…

I attached my stitched and mat panels to my card base. I stamped the white space of my card with the dots stamps rom “Seasonal Patterns & Phrases” using Bubblegum Pink Dye ink. Then I glued the circle panels together and attached them with foam adhesive slightly off lower center of my card and placed my little bear over top with foam adhesive to give my card some dimension. I splashed a light watercolor wash to make my crafty bear pop. I also added my sentiment with foam adhesive to the upper part of my card and finished it off with some Black Pearls for a little extra added bling.

With that, my Where Creativity Meets Cuteness card was finished.
