Word in the Coop is…

Hello Friends…
Welcome back to my Studio! I’m so glad you joined me today!

Today I am sharing a fabulously fun Circle Easel Card that I created for Craft Roulette (episode #174).

Ink n’ Splatter was one of the Spin Sponsors for the month of July and we had a lot of fun getting to know some of the Craft Rouletters! I’m hooked! I’ll definitely keep playing along whenever time allows!

If you have never seen Craft Roulette, you must check it out! You will be amazed how inspiring it is to create using specific parameters!

I am always inspired by the parameters of each episode! Often I would not even think of putting some of the parameters selected together….I always love a good card designing challenge!

I almost passed on this one so but I had a flood of ideas and had to get them onto my card for  Episode #174

PARAMETERS…

  • The “Project” Parameter called for a “Circle”
  • The “Colors” Parameter called for “The Wizard of Oz”
  • The “Elements” Parameter called for “On the Road”
  • The “Random” Parameter called to “Add Wings”

Gossip Chicks…

I decided on my “Gossip Chicks” Stamp Set by Ink n’ Splatter. This is a big stamp set with lots of possibilities. But it’s the parameters that really stretch your imagination.

I stamped my images on marker paper with black hybrid ink and colored them with Copic markers.

Card Base…

For my card base I die cut two stitched circles…my first cut was just over the edge of a folded pieces of white card stock to create the card. I folded the top circle back in half and die cut another stitched circle and attached it the folded flap to create the easel.

Ink Blending…

For my sky, I ink blended with the “Cloudy Day” stencil from Ink n’ Splatter on a white piece of card stock using colors of Dorothy’s Dress from the Wizard of Oz and then die cut with the stitched circle I used for my base.

I also ink blended the Dirt Road and splattered with some ink to give it texture and cut it out with stitched hills and the circle die.

I also ink blended some super cute little grass with the colors of the Emerald City from the Wizard of Oz and placed them and my other images in various areas around my easel card to help give dimension and create a cute little scene.

I attached my “Gossip Chicks” with dimensional foam to pop off my card and add some interest.

Clucker Club…

I die cut a piece of Yellow Gingham Paper from Ink n’ Splatter‘s “Clucker Club” Pattern Paper

Word in the Coop Is…

I stamped my sentiments from the “Gossip Chicks” Stamp Set and die cut them out using a cute little stitched banner die. I placed one on the top of my easel card and the other I attached it with double sided adhesive foam and place it on the bottom panel to act as a stopper for my top panel

And with that, my easel card was finished…that was fun!

hope I have inspired you to simply create something Fabulously Fun & Heart-Warming to bring you, or someone else, a little bit of joy for the moment.

I hope you get a chance to view the Craft Roulette Live on YouTube most Friday evenings for a great way to unwind, laugh a little and craft alongside some fabulously “FUNN” people!
